“Born in the USSR” is a series of Major Arcana inspired by Soviet propaganda posters of the '20s and '30s. It represents the human enthusiasm for the construction of a better future, a future so far away not to leave anything for the present, that turns into a nightmare.

I was born in the USSR, "the largest, most progressive and more peaceful country in the world." I saw it collapse and I discovered a different history of my country. At first I was stunned and then I change my way of thinking about reality.

"Born in the USSR" is a look at the past of my country many years later. The past clings to us, following us. It continues to offer the splendor of the future only to rob us of the present.

“Nati in URSS” è una collana di Arcani Maggiori ispirata ai poster propagandistici sovietici degli anni '20 e '30. Rappresenta l'entusiasmo umano per la costruzione di un futuro migliore, un futuro talmente lontano da non lasciare nulla per il presente, che si trasforma in un incubo.

Sono nato in URSS, “il paese più grande, più progressista e più pacifico del mondo”. L'ho visto crollare e ho scoperto una diversa storia del mio paese, che mi ha dapprima sbalordito e poi mi ha fatto cambiare modo di concepire la realtà.
“Nati in URSS” è uno sguardo al passato del mio paese a distanza di anni. Un passato assai appiccicoso, che ci segue ancora, continuando a offrirci “il sol dell'avvenire” per derubarci del presente.
